Mental Health

Avita Community Partners, formerly Georgia Mountains Community Services, is a public agency formed by the 1993 Georgia Legislature to serve persons experiencing the disabling effects of mental illness, developmental disabilities, or addictive diseases.

At Avita Community Partners, the philosophy is simple… you come first. The center offers an array of behavioral health and developmental disabilities programs that assist adults, children, adolescents, and families affected by a mental illness, emotional disorder, addictive disease, and/or developmental disability. Avita serves the fast-growing and ever-changing 13 counties of the Northeast Georgia region.
