Habersham County accepts applications for employment through an online application process. You are permitted to attach resumes, transcripts, certificates, or other documents to your application. However, due to an increasing number of malicious emails and attachments, we ask that you provide your name, contact information, and a summary of what position you are applying for and what items you are attaching in the body of emails when submitting Online Applications to the Human Resources Department. Emails that do not provide enough information or that are suspected of being malicious will not be responded to and will be reported to the Habersham County IT Department.

Failure to include all information requested could result in the rejection of your application. Applications must be received by the closing date to be considered.

If you choose to apply manually, please come by the Human Resources Department at 130 Jacob's Way, Suite 303, Clarkesville, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday.  If you apply online, your application will be submitted electronically and no further action is needed.

The period of time required to fill a position will vary by position. If you are selected for an interview, you will be notified by telephone. All applicants are subject to a pre-employment background check and a post-offer drug screen and physical before employment begins.

Habersham County Human Resources is a service-oriented department. As public servants, we are always mindful of our responsibility to provide courteous and efficient service to the general public and Habersham County Government employees, elected officials, and department heads. These services include employment opportunities with the county, the job application, and hiring process, implementing and monitoring of employees' salaries as established by the County Commissioners, and administering county personnel policies as established by the County Commissioners. The Human Resources staff also assists county elected officials and department heads with the administration of the many excellent benefits provided to our employees.
