With one of Northeast Georgia's newest industrial parks, as well as individual buildings located throughout the county, Habersham County offers ample choices for nearly all types of businesses and industries. Our goal is to ensure that Habersham County is one of the best places to do business.

The Habersham Park is located adjacent to the newly-expanded Habersham Airport. The runway is now 5,500 feet long. The Industrial Park is located in Land Lot 169, 10th District, Habersham County. It contains approximately 80 acres, with six to eight tracts of variable acreage. Some statistics on the park:

  • 20 miles to Interstate I-85 at Commerce exit
  • 1/2 mile from Highway 365 which becomes I-985
  • 76 miles to Atlanta International Airport
  • Water 8-inch main. City of Baldwin
  • Sewer 8-inch main. City of Baldwin
  • Natural gas 2-inch main. Customer choice
  • Electrical: Georgia Power and/or Habersham Electric Membership Corp.

Industry Stats

The current population of Habersham County is 44,000 plus. Estimated annual growth rate is 3.7%. Habersham has a labor work force of over 17,500. Unemployment rate is historically low.

Habersham has more than 6,400 students in public schools. Piedmont College in Demorest has 2,000 students. North Georgia Technical College, with more than 2,000 students, offers the Quick Start training program to all new manufacturing facilities.

Agriculture is the No. 1 industry in the county. However tourism continues to be an integral factor in the county's economic development and growth. The county is also experiencing a steady growth in retirees.

It is expected that the county will experience consistent growth in all sectors of the economy as it offers many desirable attributes, which makes it a very attractive place to live and work.
