FIREHOUSE 8 - BATESVILLE - 123 Chimney Mountain Road

Firehouse 8 serves the rural and agricultural Batesville Community. It is an unmanned volunteer house, originally established as the Batesville Volunteer Fire Department. Apparatus at this House are Engine 8 and Tanker 8.

Engine 8 is a 1989 Ford F800 with a Boardman body. It carries 1000 gallons of water and is equipped with a 1000 GPM pump.

Tanker 8 is a 1994 Chevrolet Kodiak Forestry Tanker. It carries 1250 gallons of water and is equipped with a 1000 GPM pump. It is also equipped as a Class A Pumper. It originally served Habersham County as Tanker 14.

 

FIREHOUSE 9 - DEEP CREEK - 4263 Hollywood Highway

Firehouse 9 serves the Hollywood Community, located between Tallulah Falls and Clarkesville.  It is a mixed community with rural, agricultural and commercial properties, as well as a portion of four-lane highway.  It was originally established as the Deep Creek Volunteer Fire Department.  Apparatus at this house are Med 9, Engine 9, Ladder 9, HabSar, along with multiple admin and support vehicles.  Current 24-hour staffing is a three person crew, one assigned to the fire engine and two assigned to the med unit.  One of these personnel is a Lieutenant.

Engine 9 is a 2003 E-One Typhoon.  It carries 1000 gallons of water and has a 1250 GPM pump.

Med 9 is a 2021 Chevrolet Kodiak with a Custom Truck and Body Works Body.

Ladder 9 is a 1999 Pierce Quantum 75' Quint. It carries 400 gallons of water and has a 1750 GPM pump.

HabSar is a 2000 F450 with an Ingram body.  It carries all the equipment for high angle rescue operations as well as other technical rescues. It originally served Habersham County as a Rescue.

 

FIREHOUSE 11 - 1302 Fairview School Road

Firehouse 11 serves the Fairview Community on the western side of the county.  It is mostly residential and agricultural, with a portion of the Chattahoochee River.  It is an unmanned volunteer house, originally established as the Fairfield Volunteer Fire Department.  Apparatus at this house are Engine 11 and Pumper 11.

 

Engine 11 is a 1992 International 4900 with a Boardman body.  It carries 1000 gallons of water and has a 1250 GPM pump.  It originally served Habersham County as Rescue 9.

Pumper 11 is a 1989 Ford F800 with a Boardman Body.  It carries 1000 gallons of water and has a 1000 GPM pump.  It originally served Habersham County as Engine 13.

 

FIREHOUSE 12 - View - 2975 Duncan Bridge Road

Firehouse 12 serves the View community in the southern portion of the county.  The area is a mix of residential and commercial, with a portion of Highway 365 and the Chattahoochee River. It was established as the View Volunteer Fire Department.  Apparatus at this house are Engine 12, Med 12 and Tanker 12.  Current 24-hour staffing is a four person crew:  two assigned to the fire engine and two assigned to the med unit.  One of these personnel is a Lieutenant.

Engine 12 is a 2022 Spartan. It carries 1000 gallons of water and has a 1500 GPM pump. It is the first engine purchased in the new color scheme.

Tanker 12 is a 1999 International 4900 with a MetalFab body.  It carries 2500 gallons of water and has a 1250 GPM pump. It is also equipped as a Class A Engine.

Med 12 is a 2021 Ford F450 with a Frazier body. It was purchased used in 2022.

 

FIREHOUSE 13 - Habersham Mills - 2665 Habersham Mills Road

Firehouse 13 serves the Habersham Mills Community and is one of the county's oldest firehouses. It was originally Habersham Mills Fire Department. The area is mostly residential with a large portion of the Soque River. Current 24-hour staffing is one firefighter assigned to the fire engine and a Battalion Chief assigned to a command vehicle. Apparatus at this house are Engine 13, Tanker 13, Battalion 1, and Brush 13.

Engine 13 is a 2003 E-One Typhoon. It carries 1000 gallons of water and has a 1250 GPM pump. It was recently refurbished.

Tanker 13 is a 2009 Peterbilt PB340 with a Freedom Fire body. It carries 3000 gallons of water and has a 500 GPM pump.

Battalion 1 is a 2022 F250 that serves as a command vehicle.

Brush 13 is a 2000 F450 with a body built by fire department personnel. It carries 400 gallons of water and has a 500 GPM pump. It originally served the county as a Rescue.

 

FIREHOUSE 14 - Glade Creek - 6400 Camp Creek Road

Firehouse 14 serves the Glade Creek Community on the eastern side of the county. It is a mixed area of residential, commercial, and industrial, as well as a portion of Highway 365 and Lake Russell WMA. Current staffing is one firefighter on the fire engine.  Apparatus at this house are Engine 14, Pumper 14 and Pumper 12.

Engine 14 is a 2003 E-One Typhoon. It carries 1000 gallons of water and has a 1250 GPM pump.

Pumper 14 is a 1990 F800 with a Boardman body. It carries 1000 gallons of water and has a 1000 GPM pump. It originally served the county as Engine 12.

Pumper 12 is a 1993 International 4900 with an E-One body. It carries 1000 gallons of water and has a 1250 GPM pump. It originally served as Engine 14 before becoming Pumper 12, and is now housed at Firehouse 14 as a reserve apparatus.

 

FIREHOUSE 15 - Macedonia - 6579 New Liberty Road

Firehouse 15 serves the Macedonia community, located in the north central portion of the county. It is a rural and agricultural area with a portion of the Soque River. It is an unmanned volunteer house and was originally the Macedonia Fire Department. Apparatus at this house are Tanker 15, Rescue 15, and Tanker 8.

Tanker 15 is a 1994 Chevrolet Kodiak with a GA Forestry-built body. It carries 1250 gallons of water and has a 1000 GPM pump. It is equipped as a Class A engine and is Firehouse 15's primary response engine.

Rescue 15 is a 1999 F450 with an Ingram Body. It is equipped as a service truck as well as a first responder unit. It originally served the county as Rescue 12.

Tanker 8 is a 1999 Chevrolet Kodiak with a GA Forestry-built body. It carries 1250 gallons of water and has a 1000 GPM pump. It is the only 4x4 tanker in the fleet, and originally served as Tanker 8 before being relocated.

 

FIREHOUSE 16 - Amy's Creek- 6357 GA Highway 17

Firehouse 16 serves the Amy's Creek Community, located in the northwest portion of the county. It is a mostly rural, residential, and agricultural area. Current 24-hour staffing is three personnel: one assigned to the fire engine and two assigned to the med unit. One of these personnel is a Lieutenant. Apparatus at this house are Engine 16, Pumper 16 and Med 16.

Engine 16 is a 2010 Spartan Rosenbauer. It carries 1000 gallons of water and has a 1250 GPM pump along with 60 gallons of Class A foam. It has served at many of the firehouses in the county before being assigned to Firehouse 16.

Pumper 16 is a 1994 International 4900 with an E-One body. It carries 1000 gallons of water and has a 1250 GPM pump. It originally served the county as Engine 15.

Med 16 is a 2020 Ford F450 with a Frazier body. It was our first med unit of this type and was previously M12.

 

FIREHOUSE 17 - Panther Creek/Turnerville- 4455 Orchard Road

Firehouse 17 serves the Panther Creek - Turnerville Community in the northern portion of the county. The area is mostly residential with a portion of GA Highway 15. Current 24- hour staffing is one firefighter assigned to the fire engine. Apparatus at this house are Engine 17, Tanker 17, and a spare Tanker.

Engine 17 is a 2012 Spartan-Rosenbauer. It carries 1000 gallons of water and has a 1250 GPM pump. It has served at many of the firehouses in the county before Firehouse 17.

Tanker 17 is a 2009 Peterbilt PB340 with a Freedom Fire body. It carries 3000 gallons of water and has a 500 GPM pump.

Tanker 16 is a 1994 Chevrolet Kodiak with a GA Firestry built body. It carries 1250 gallons of water and has a 1000 GPM pump.

 

HOUSE 21 - 120 Robertson Loop Road

House 21 is our only Med Unit-only house and is located at 120 Robertson Loop Road in Clarkesville. This emergency service house has 5 full-time personnel for daily staffing and consists of one 24-hour Med Unit, one 10-hour Monday-Friday Med Unit, and Captain 1 in an ALS First Response vehicle. House 21 is also the central EMS supply location for HCES, as well as for spare med units.

Med 21 is a 2021 Chevrolet 4500 with a Frazier body.

Captain 1 is a 2022 F250. It serves as the medical supervisor vehicle, and is fully equipped for ALS response, with all supplies and equipment as a med unit, as well as for carrying the plasma for trauma protocol.

Med 1 is a 2021 F450 with a Frazier body. It was purchased used in 2022. It is the "day truck", being in service Monday through Friday 7am to 5pm.

 

Med 2 - Cornelia Firehouse 2 - 968 S. Main Street

Med 2 is a 2020 Chevrolet 4500 with a Custom Truck and Body Works remount. It is housed at Cornelia Firehouse 2 at 968 S. Main Street.
