This course has undulating greens and water only comes into play on one hole. The signature hole is No. 9, a 240-yard, par 4, featuring bunkers lining both sides of the fairway and an undulating green.

This course is located at the base of the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, but it is not a hilly course. There are many lakes and creeks which originate in the mountain range that come into play on the course. The signature hole is No. 14, a 550-yard, par 5, featuring a creek that flows down the entire length of the fairway which comes into play quite often.
