CCRCDC Board

The purpose of the Chestatee-Chattahoochee Resource Conservation and Development Council, Inc. (CCRCDC) is to provide local leadership needed for developing, making necessary amendments to, and carrying out a plan for the orderly development conservation improvement and wise use of the area’s natural resources and to educate, collect, coordinate and disseminate information for the development of human resources, thereby improving the economic opportunities of the people with the Council. 

The CCRCDC comprises the following counties:  Banks, Dawson, Forsyth, Franklin, Habersham, Hall, Hart, Lumpkin, Rabun, Stephens, Towns, Union, and White.

Membership is composed of the area sponsors who are as follows:  The Boards of Supervisors of the Upper Chattahoochee River, Blue Ridge Mountain, Broad River, Stephens County, and Hall County Soil and Water Conservation Districts; county Boards of Commissioners of Banks, Dawson, Forsyth, Franklin, Habersham, Hall, Hart, Lumpkin, Rabun, Stephens, Towns, Union and White counties; the Georgia Mountains Regional Development Commission; and three members at large. In addition, two representatives are appointed by each sponsor.

The Council meets as often as determined by the Council members. In addition, the president may call special meetings at the request of one-third of its membership.
