Business LicensesHabersham County issues licenses to regulate businesses operating in the unincorporated area of the County (the areas of the County not within city limits) to promote improved enforcement of ordinances that protect the public and to prevent nuisances and neighborhood disturbances. The license is not a business tax and is not based on business revenue. Please return the downloadable form (either by mail, or in person) to this address with the applicable fee. Be sure to add the $25 regulatory fee if your business falls into one of the categories listed below. Under state statute the County is required to have on record the number of employees of your business. The number of employees as computed on a full-time position equivalent basis, provided that for the purposes of this computation an employee who works 40 hours or more weekly shall be considered a full time employee and that the average weekly hours of employees who work less than 40 hours shall be divided by 40 to produce full-time. In addition to the standard business license, the County Commission adopted an ordinance in 2005 imposing a regulatory fee as authorized by O.C.G.A. 48-13-9 in the amount of $25 on certain types of business as shown in the list below..
