Public Transportation

Habersham County Transit is small as public transportation systems go, but it fills a big need. Our system offers door-to-door transportation on a first-come, first-served basis by appointment within Habersham County. Our rate schedule is based on mileage.

The service is available to all residents but is especially valuable to non-driving elderly or disabled residents who otherwise couldn't get to doctor's appointments, pick up a few groceries, or take care of other routine personal business on their own. For these customers, the Habersham County Transit system is a ticket to independence.

When We Operate

The hours of service are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Habersham County Transit services are not available on the following holidays: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day (4th of July), Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day (and the day after), Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
