Drivers Under Age 18If you are under age 18, all the above information for drivers under 21 applies except for one thing. Where it takes a four-point violation to suspend the license of someone between 18 and 21, it only takes an ACCUMULATION of four points within a 12 month period to suspend the license of someone under age 18. Other License Suspension OffensesIf you purchase alcohol, misrepresent your age to obtain alcohol, or use a fake ID to obtain alcohol, your driver's license will be suspended. For a first offense the suspension time is six months and a second offense is 12 months. If you are convicted of driving a car while in possession of alcohol, your driver's license can be suspended on a first offense and will be suspended on a second offense. Note that simply possessing alcohol is not a license suspension offense. |
