Fairgrounds Rental InformationThe Habersham County Fairgrounds, formally known as the Les Smith Memorial Fairgrounds, is managed by the Fairgrounds Commission (FGC). Application to rent all or part of it may be made during normal working hours at the Habersham County Commissioners' office. A non-refundable holding fee must be paid at the same time. Before approval of the event is given, applicants must appear before the fairgrounds commission to make a request to use the facilities if they are requesting a reduction in fees. The commission meets once a month, usually on the fourth Thursday of the month. Please do not call the parks and recreation department for answers to questions about rental. Any or all of the following sections are available for rental. In addition, a deposit (which will be refunded if certain conditions are met) must be paid, and all rules and regulations must be followed.
Fees for charitable groups/organizations will be one-half of regular fees and one-fourth of regular fees for set-up or breakdown day/dates. Set-up and break down fees will be one-half of regular fees per day for each event. Large events are required to furnish FGC a copy of event insurance policy.
