Keep Habersham Beautiful
Keep Habersham County Beautiful (KHB) is a non-profit litter-prevention and beautification program chartered by the Habersham County Government. The organization is made up of concerned people from all walks of life joined together to help the public become more aware and concerned about environmental issues. The mission of Keep Habersham County Beautiful is to protect and improve the environment and the quality of life in our community. As a local affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, it is a unique public-private partnership that allows us to benefit from the resources of government, corporations and community organizations. KHB is also affiliated with the Keep Georgia Beautiful program operated by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs. KHB conducts educational programs on beautification and the reduction of litter and solid waste for schools and local civic groups. The organization also works with the Department of Transportation to secure volunteers for the Adopt-A-Highway Program and the beautification of state highways in Habersham County. KHB Objectives
